Davido laat Timeless album los met o.a. Skepta & Asake

Die jaar na zijn album A Better Time laat Davido zijn nieuwe album Timeless los. De plaat telt zeventien tracks met bijdrages van Nigeriaanse artiesten als The Caveman, Fave, Asake, Franse zangeres Angelique Kidjo, Skepta, Zuid-Afrikaanse DJ Musa Keys, dancehall artiest Dexta Daps en nieuwe DMV artiesten Morravey en Logos Oroli. Ook de track Champion Sound met Focalistic uit 2021 staat op de plaat.

Over het album zegt Davido het volgende: "At long last - WE are back. The journey from my last album to this album has been a whirlwind to say the least. I recall sitting and staring over the ocean not too long ago, wondering if I could get here again, after all I’ve been through… but with your love and support, we made it. I’m not sure what comes after this but I wanted to give you my heart, soul and energy. Today I present you “TIMELESS”.

Hij bedankt meerdere mensen, maar in het bijzonder zijn vrouw, met wie hij samen een zoon is verloren eind vorig jaar: "So many people to thank who helped make this happen but first, I must send a special thank you to the strongest woman I know, @thechefchi ! Thank you, thank you, thank you."
